Decorating for Christmas

Exactly one month before Christmas we kicked off the season with my favorite part -- decorating the house with the kids.  I love playing Christmas music, helping the kids decorate the house and bask in their enthusiasm.  With my bum ankle and Elijah's maturity, I got to spend most of the time on the couch while they decorated the tree.  I took pictures and enjoyed the advent spirit while Elijah took over directing the decoration of the tree.  He helped hook the ornaments onto the hooks, hung the ornaments on the higher branches and encouraged his sister.  It was awesome.

 

 

After decorating the tree, we hung stockings.  Of course each child wanted a part in hanging their own stocking.  So fun.
