The Easter Bunny upped his game this year! He's been slowly evolving in the past few years to cater to our growing children. For a few years, the Easter Bunny has labeled the children's eggs with a "K" or an "E," so that each child has a fair chance to find an equal number of eggs. This year followed that trend with a twist. This year, the Easter Bunny left a flash card in each Easter Basket to communicate with Eli how many eggs each child should find.
Among their small eggs, each child also found one large egg. Here's Keira showing off her big egg.
Keira took a break from her hunting to count her eggs, and both kids paused to eat a little chocolate to fortify themselves for the rest of their hunt.
Kodi came over to check out the action and lend her support.
After their snack break, the kids found the rest of their eggs and opened their BIG eggs to find a huge collection of puzzle pieces. After spending a little time pondering, the kids figured out that they had to combine their puzzle pieces to make one puzzle together.
The front of the puzzle showed an Easter greeting, while the back told the kids where the Easter Bunny hid the rest of their Easter surprises.
Here's Keira posing with her new pink bunny and Elijah with his new book.
All the Easter excitement made for an exhausting morning for our very tuckered out puppy!
