Marble Creation & Little White House Field Trip -- February 22-23, 2015

Homeschooling Keira for Kindergarten meant that she had plenty of time for creative play -- her very favorite thing. As you can see from previous posts showing her playing in the playroom, she loves to play! She methodically works her way through all her toys and usually narrates her play and often sings original songs as part of her narration. On February 22, 2015, she used her marbles to create a picture instead of racing them around the marble maze as she usually does. Here she is posing with her creation on the playroom floor.

The next day, February 23, 2015, Keira stayed with Grammie so that I could accompany Elijah on a Connections Field Trip to FDR's Little White House. This was the first year that we tried Connections. Connections turned out to be a lot of busy work, which was why we ended up homeschooling on our own. But, we did try to take advantage of the field trips and other in person learning that they offered. We had a great day: touring the museum, meeting a new friend, touring the Little White House, and buying Fala. Elijah bought a stuffed animal version of FDR's dog -- Fala. Fala is still a favorite member of Elijah's bed team.
