Elijah decided that he wanted to play baseball again in the spring. We insisted that he played one team sport and he settled on baseball. In the spring he played for the Muckdogs. He had a fabulous coach who taught him and all the other boys a lot about baseball and sportsmanship. On March 16, 2013, Dendi was nice enough to document the game for us. Her first pictures of Elijah were him playing in the outfield. One of the great things about Coach Gary was that he gave all the boys opportunities to play all the positions.
While Elijah returned to baseball, Keira returned to her favorite spectator pasttime -- playing in the dirt. Fortunately, that girl is happily entertained for hours if she has a pile of dirt in front of her.
Elijah's hitting was quite consistent through the spring season -- he got at least one base hit each game. Although, he's his own worst critic, so he didn't always feel particularly successful.
