The kids started off their summer with skyping and swimming. First, one night, one of Elijah's good friends, Christian called and asked if Elijah wanted to skype. The kids had experience skyping Grandpa Jan and Grandma Karen, but never friends. It was hilarious chaos. Christian has two siblings and all five kids took turns yelling, giggling and showing random objects to the camera. That night, Elijah took one of my favorite pictures of the year of Keira grinning and showing off her balloon.
One of our very favorite summer kick offs is the opening of our neighborhood pool. We are so lucky to be able to enjoy family time at the pool all summer long. This summer, it was so exciting to see Elijah jump right into the pool and swim underwater from the stairs to Daddy and back. Unlike previous summer, Elijah wasted no time getting reaquainted with swimming. He jumped right in.
