Decorating Our Tree

On December 14, 2015, the kids and I decorated the Christmas Tree.  Truth be told, my main job was to enjoy and document the experience.  As always, decorating the tree was one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season.  I love the smell of the tree, listening to Christmas Carols in the background and watching and taking photos of the kids.  On this particular evening, the kids took their bath first, got into their pajamas, then decorated the tree.

One of the things that was particularly fun decorating the tree this year was that the kids appreciated their handmade ornaments and their ornaments featuring their pictures inside.

Another highlight every year is adding the star to the top of the tree.  This year Elijah got the honor, so next year it will be Keira's turn.  Since Keira didn't get the privilege of placing the star on the top of the tree, she wanted to spend some time posing and playing with the star first.  Elijah even got in on the fun.

After plenty of time posing and playing with the star, Daddy helped Elijah put the star on the top of the tree.

The evening featured plenty of singing, dancing, and posing with their beloved tree.  It was an all around silly and enjoyable time.
