Ponytail Princess

While Elijah experienced some important firsts last summer, like attending his first day camp, Keira experienced a first of her own.  She finally let me put her hair up in a ponytail!  She had been growing her hair and I told her that growing her hair was fine, but it meant that I'd have to brush it and fix it more often.  Eventually, she got excited by the idea of a ponytail and on July 2, she finally sat patient enough for me to put it up into a decent ponytail.  Now, mind you, this was the girl who balked at getting her hair even brushed less than a year ago, so a genuine ponytail was real progress.  Once she had her hair up in a ponytail she loved it.  She said she looked like a princess.  To celebrate she decided to get dressed up like a princess, my ponytail princess.  :)
