Now on to the "Back to School" posts...
On August 10, 2013, Elijah attended his first day of fourth grade. He skipped from first to fourth grade. As most of you know, that decision took plenty of thinking, planning and turmoil on our part. But, it turned out to be the best thing for him academically that we had ever done. As you can see he wasn't exceptionally excited to take pictures that morning, but he did his best to cooperate for me.
Then, on August 21, 2013, Keira's school journey began with all four of us heading to The Child Development Center (CDC) at the local high school for Keira's preschool orientation. Three years before, Elijah attended the program as well. One of our favorite things about the program is the ratio -- since they have so many high school helpers, it's nearly a one to one ratio. The kids get lots of help and attention, which I found to be a great transition step for our kids between 24/7 with Mommy and Kindergarten. While Daddy and I headed next door to hear the information for the year, Elijah stayed behind and played with his little sister. Lucky Keira!
