Rock Ranch

On April 1, 2014, Keira went to Rock Ranch with her preschool for a field trip.  They can not legally take preschoolers on a school bus for a field trip, I think it has something to do with car seat requirements.  Therefore, parents must drop off and pick up their kids from preschool field trips.  Since Rock Ranch is so far away, Elijah and I decided to stay the day and call it a homeschool field trip, too.

One of my favorite things about Rock Ranch is its gorgeous, tranquil setting.

The highlights of the day for Elijah included Tiny Town -- an entire kid-sized town where all the buildings and features are built half as tall and half as wide.

Another favorite of the day that he'd never ridden in before was the Moo Train.  It was a kind of hay ride where Cow Cars full of kids were pulled by a tractor.

He also loved the pedal cars.

We met up with Keira's preschool group at the pony rides.

Once we picked Keira up from her field trip in the afternoon, we all had fun riding the giant cement slide that was dug out of the hillside.  All in all, we enjoyed a beautiful spring day and each other, outside in the sun.
