We spent our 2014 Spring Break up at the Lake House, just the four of us. The beginning of our trip was a little disappointing, as it was rainy and stormy for most of the week. We enjoyed relaxing in a beautiful setting, but eventually being cooped up in the house started to get a little old. Fortunately, the last couple days were gorgeous. We spent one afternoon on the sandy beach. The next day we headed for Helen. One of our first stops was a playground in Helen. It was a new discovery for us -- we went to find a letter box next to the library in Helen. We ended up finding the letter box and maybe even more importantly, the playground. It was a great way to spend a few hours playing and eating a picnic lunch in a scenic setting.
Next, we drove to Unicoi to find another letter box and play at that playground. Then we moved on to Anna Ruby Falls. The kids were awesome hikers. They hiked all the way to the Falls and back. Additionally, the members of my family were extremely good sports and took a plethora of pictures. Alternating between silly shots and posing seemed to be the secret. What a gorgeous day!
